CREAM OF THE CROP

CREAM OF THE CROP
Morning, Everyone! How is your week going so far? Emil and I had one of those super crazy days yesterday which started at the break of dawn and ended with a super late dinner. Knowing I will not have time to go home and change, I wanted to wear something that could take me from day to night. So, I opted for a pair of high waisted pants, cropped top and high heels, i.e. my favorite dressed up comfortable combination:) But because the late dinner was going to be somewhat of a formal event, I added a clutch and an ear cuff just to dress this look up a bit.
By the way, I am really excited about cropped tops making a comeback this season. How about you guys? Reason why I like this particular crop top so much, is because it's so versatile. Though I do like the tight-fitting ones as well, I think they mostly require something with a bit of volume on the bottom. But a looser-fitting top like the one I am wearing, can be paired with just about anything, from skinny jeans to slouchy trousers. What do you think? What is your favorite way of wearing cropped tops?

DOMINO

DOMINO
Good morning, Everyone! Hope you are all having a wonderful week!

I wanted to take this opportunity to share a few pics of one of my new favorite dresses, i.e. the gorgeous black and white number I am wearing in today's post. A big fan of the black and white color combination in general, from the moment I saw this dress, I feel in love with the cut and the color block pleated side inserts. A perfect combination of classic and sexy, this one is definitely one of those  twirl-worthy dresses I am always raving about :)

The Low Knotted Bun

The Low Knotted Bun
We're almost through the week of tutorials and I'm kinda sad! Not that switching things up isn't nice though... and I suppose I can just keep posting hair tutorials whenever the heck I feel like it right? haha Here's another elegant yet simple little 'do', the second to last in this holiday series! enjoy:
This style would also be a good one for you to clip a bow in right on top of the cluster of knots, or you could also tie a ribbon around the whole thing for an extra feminine twist. Also a fun side note:  we were running out of the house for a last minute date a bit ago and I did this style in the car with slightly wet hair, and when I took it out the next day I had pretty fantastic waves! So if you have somtehing going on two days in a row you may wanna keep that in mind:)
Well that's all she wrote for today. I'm so excited for this weekend both on the blog and off, because there are so many great things coming. I'm so pumped! You guys are such a support and encouragement to me on a daily basis. I hope you know that! Anyway's have a great rest of your Friday, and weekend ahead!

The Double Gibson

The Double Gibson
Happy Thursday guys! I've been looking forward to today for a veeery long time, because I've been anticipating starting a week of fun and festive holiday hair tutorials for all you sweet thangs! It's been way too long, and finally posting hair tutorials again is really making me feel like things are back to normal again:) In preparing to start this week, I posted this picture to instagramses and facebookses, etc a few days ago and had an overwhelmingly positive response and call for the tutorial, so I considered that a good sign! :) Here it is:
I know that normally I start my hair weeks on Monday's, but SUnday is technically the start to a new week isn't it? and also I just couldn't wait! This is my new favorite:) Very elegant looking I think, but also versatile, and I'm going to be wearing it for lots of different things in the near future. I love pairing deceivingly simple hairstyles that look fancy with like distressed jeans and boots. Mix of hard and soft ya know? You know! haha
Well I hope you love this style like I do, if you do let me know! Also remember that a hair week means that every morning when you get on the internet machine and come visit yours truly, there'll be a brand spankin' new hair tutorial to inspire you in the hair department for all those festive parties you gots comin up! It's Christmas y'all! Yikers, Anyway's, my eye is sorta twitching so I'm gonna hit publish on this thing, and I can't wait to hear what you think about it! Love you guys, and I hope you come back to visit tomorrow!

The Half Crown Braid

The Half Crown Braid

Here we are and it's Thursday! This is the third tutorial in my little mini hair series, which is hopefully giving you lots of new ideas for ways to switch up your locks for your holiday parties! This style is very soft and romantic, and I love that you have the advantage of having a head full of flowey curls, while adding the little halo of braids really frames the face and gives you an up-do as well! What do you think? :)
Again this style is so soft and romantic, and it's a fantastic way to have your hair out and curly, while still having something a little more special then just the curls on their own. This is the holidays after all! :)
Take care today lovelies, and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Retro Waves and a Compliment Giveaway

Retro Waves and a Compliment Giveaway
There's always a place to wear your hair like this, and it'll work with any length of hair just about! unless you have a pixie cut.haha Also a big part of keeping the curls in all day is letting them set, and it's something that I do often with my hair to keep a curl, but if you have hair to or above your shoulder-blades
and now onto the fun part!
I've been a huge fan of Melissa and her work at Shop Compliment for ages now, and I'm very excited to share her shop with you guys in a giveaway for $50 credit! I have a bunch of pieces from her at this point that I love and wear often, and this pair from the Kimberly Collection I knew were just right to feature in a wedding tutorial! With a different compliment in every box, I think these would be the perfect gift for bridesmaids, friends, sisters, or to yourself!:)
a Rafflecopter giveaway
Well I hope you completed all the entries you could, and I hope you love this style! It's a favorite of mine (and martin's) for sure, and I hope that you give it a try as well and then come back to tell me how it went:)

I love the bohemian unkempt hair trends this year, but it'd refreshing to do something sleek and classy once in a while don't you think? Anyway's be sure and leave any thoughts or question you may have down in the comments section, and I hope you have a great day! Thanks for stoppin' by,
