Still Winter

Still Winter
 Hi, darlings!
I am officially sick and tired of this snow.
Although the weather has been quite tolerable for this time of year, the piles of snow...
well, mud and ice, to be more exact...are still there. It has become an adventure
to walk around the city without covering yourself in mud. That’s why I thought this
pair of boots I’ve found last week on sale, was the perfect addition to my closet.
Definitely more comfortable than the heels I usually wear, which makes it easier for
me to drive and run around the city without having to change my shoes. The skirt
I’m wearing today was another piece I managed to get on sale for less than 10€.
How’bout that?! You can easily see that this has become my „go to outfit”, lately.
A chunky sweater and a skirt. This way I stay warm without looking like a walking
pile of clothes. Yesterday, though, I made the huge mistake of leaving the house
with my bare legs. After listening to the weather forecast which said that the
temperature will be higher than the one we should be having for this time of year,
this seemed like a good idea. Well, it wasn’t! I froze to death during the pics,
good thing that I have an entire collection of hosiery in my car.
I am so eagerly waiting for Spring!
Have a great afternoon, guys!
Kisses

Retrospective

Retrospective

 Well...finally, that day has come!
Hey, don’t judge, darlings! It’s quite a journey to choose, combine and resize
over one hundred pictures. Over one hundred days, moments, outfits.
Over one hundred „resting bitch face” snaps and a few smiles. Hundreds of rays of sunshine, thousands of steps and dozen twirls. This year was quite amazing for me, definitely the best one yet! As every single year is, 2014 was filled with...sugar, spice
and everything nice! I wish...It had a little bit of everything: new challenges and opportunities, new beginnings, new friendships and collaborations, wonderful moments, happiness and smiles, but also disappointments, failures and mistakes, tears and heart sores. Unfortunately, life is not always as we want it to be. People come and go, mostly because they never really „were” in your life the way you thought they were.
Mistakes are being made all the time, no matter how much we wish we could prevent them. But even they have their own little purpose in our life. They make us learn,
evolve and be a better person. Step by step, every single day. To be honest with you,
guys, I haven’t even realised how fast this year went by. It was a full year, concentrated around a new experience, a new step, a new beginning: My Silk Fairytale Collection.
I’m keeping this story for another post I’m planning to make really soon.
Today, I’m just extremely thankful to you, guys, for...practically everything.
Thank you for being here every day, for your wonderful emails, for your kind thoughts,
for your amazingly beautiful souls...thank you for being as amazing as you are and
for choosing to share the beauty of your soul with me! I evolved so much as a person,
as a human being, as a woman, I’ve found my style and my...calling!
I’ve found myself, all thanks to you!
Creating this blog, sharing a small part of my life with you, guys,
was probably the best decision I have ever made. This blog was not only a hobby,
it was the tool which crafted the woman you see today. For that I have to thank you,
guys, again! You, and my boyfriend who stood by me every step of the way.
Who is patiently taking my pictures whether there are minus 8 degrees or plus forty, although he really and I mean realllllly hates this activity. You and him are my only
team behind this blog, the only team I need to show you a part of my life, not a story.
My only wish is to be able to keep you updated more often, but I promise
I’ll do my best to make it happen this year.
As for 2015, I’m planning to make it unforgettable. Are you with me?
Thank you, again! From the bottom of my heart <3

Weekend Sport

 Weekend Sport
This weekend was the perfect balance of fun activities and relaxing down-time, which always makes the time seem to go by even faster.  Despite getting dressed up for an early morning coffee/brunch with girlfriends, I spent the rest of the weekend in really casual laid-back pieces.  I am so happy that sneakers have come back into style and are completely wearable with clothes other than workout gear.  This combination is decidedly sporty (& ridiculously comfortable)...but it still has a cool modern feel to it.

Keys to Wearing Winter White

Keys to Wearing Winter White
By the time January rolls around I am ready to pack up all of my darks and trade them in for spring colors. But instead of waiting until the sun shows up, you can easily lighten up your look with winter white. White is year-round. From head to nail to toe, you don’t have to worry about dates or seasons when rocking the color. When Target invited me to share how I style winter white, I decided to share a few keys I’ve found to pulling off the trend:

1)   Seasons decide texture, not color. There’s a difference between white linen and white wool – only one will work for winter. Stick with heavier, winter textiles like fluffy sweaters, fur, wool (in love with this shawl!) , textured tops etc. White outerwear especially is one of the easiest ways to dip your toe into this color trend.

2)   Monochrome mix & match. Any monochromatic look is sure to be a winner, but head-to-toe white seems to take the cake, especially in a crowd of greys and blacks. The list of shades of white goes on forever, so picking a few complementary hues will be inevitable. If a white-out isn’t your thing, throw in a classic colored handbag or coat to keep that effortless but intentional effect.

3)  Bring white to your beauty routine. Try a white liner or a subtle white shadow around the corner of your eye. If you are more of a minimal no make up girl, go for a winter white mani. White nails are one of my favorites!

How are you incorporating white into your look this season?

Thor

Thor
A new look for you guys:
As a dedicated Marvel-fan you could suspected that Thor would be one of the next superhero to be introduced on my blog after his brother evil brother Loki (fave Marvel charakter of all times!) appeared here last year. I am indeed a little bit of a nerd when it comes to Marvel or for instance Starwars, I absolutely love these sci-fi worlds! 2015 should be the perfect cinimatic experience for me,  Marvel's Antman, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Starwars VII hit theaters this year :)... Asian-Geek. So yeah, that was the Tshirt. Otherwise Burning Down Alaska was once again pulled into an outfit but this time the terrain was nerdy as f*** haha ... Their beanie is a great accessory in this freezing London weather.
Have a great evening everyone! xx

NEUTRAL TERRITORY

NEUTRAL TERRITORY
Caffe late colours inspired makes everything look so soft, even in the crispy winter days. There is something about these warm colors that I relate with one of my favorite brands ever: Chloè.
It is an Irresistible combination where masculine lines meets  today's feminine allure and there is always room for adding your unique personal touch. In my case I added  white navy stripes and this bright pink pair of heels that complements perfectly this look.

Cobalt Trench & Denim Overload

Cobalt Trench & Denim Overload
Hello everyone,

First things first happy New Year to you beautiful people. A new year for me means a a new opportunity . I always take it as an oportunity to write down goals/resolutions and begin doing things a little bit better. One of the biggest things for me this year is to blog more. Most of you don’t know this, but I actually really enjoy writing, and even though I love Youtube- blooging with a cup of cofee sitting on my desk just brings me peace. If I write a blog post, then I feel like my day just gained a new meaning. Besides that I’ve been really motivated to work out every day. The easiest thing for me to maintain a good workout schedule, is to actually make a tailored workout schedule for the month ahead and stick it on my fridge. So far so good, Coachella body here we come! ^_^ What are some of your resolutions for 2015?
This winter break I went to the outlets in Palm Springs and to my amazement they had a Valentino and an Alexander McQueen store. I frantically started trying on shoes running around the store racing 30 other shoppers with a similar incendiary excitement. Luckily for me I was able to snag these McQueen suede wedges. I love the elegant platform silhoutte with with the metal toe caps. I feel like I found the perfect comfy going out shoes!

Thank you so much for reading!

Happy Monday everyone!

I am sorry for my absence on Wednesday.  I´ve spent busy week in Tenerife finishing my move to my new place. It looks that my errands check list  never ends. While packing my last boxes I was thinking on how many things and items we keep “just in case” and that we never come to use.  I took the chance to gift loads of cloths, shoes and bags and make room for any blessing that the universe has for me.  The law of Feng Shui, right?

I wish you a wonderful weekend and thank you so much for stopping by.Blogger : luba

Different perspectives

 Different perspectives
While I have spent last week in Tenerife, over the weekend I hoped again to Gran Canaria.  I am still learning to live split between two islands. Everything is new, everything is exciting.  As a friend of mine said ” You are lucky!  Now you have two different perspectives over the same Ocean.”  And it´s true.  In less than 20 minutes flight between both islands the landscape, the people, the pulse of the cities are completely idiosyncratic, unique and incomparable.  Tenerife has a quite energy while Gran Canaria is all vibrance.  The combination of calm and motion probably leads to a perfect state of harmony.  It is like pairing black and white. Two opposites that give different perspectives over the same light.

I wish you a wonderful week and thank you so much for stopping by.Blogger : Luba

Heights :: Flare jeans & Fendi Peekaboo

Happy Monday everyone!

Playing with a different denim cut today =)  These jeans make me feel like I’m 6 feet tall!  I’ve been wearing them casually with stripes, and for a more polished look, I’ve been pairing them with crisp button-ups.

Last night, my friend and I were having silly conversations about four-legged family members.  And this was when I realized I’m a hair away from becoming a crazy cat woman.  I shared with her that it’s rare when I lose my temper with Sammie.  He’s generally a very well behaved cat, but once in a blue moon he does something bad.  What do you do?  I tell him with a firm ‘No’ and then I explain it.  What?  The ‘what’ my friend asked was accompanied with a raised eyebrow.  That’s when I realized I’m in too deep.  After telling Sammie ‘No’, I always explain to him why.  Sammie was a door dasher (thank goodness he doesn’t do this anymore!) and last time he dashed for the door, I grabbed him and said loudly and firmly ‘No!’.  Then I tell him that our neighbors have dogs and it’s very dangerous for him to be outside.  Not only that, who’s going to give him his favorite salmon?!

Somehow this conversation evolved into a discussion about cloning.  There was a case where a bull was cloned a few years ago.  My eyebrow raised.  Even though Sammie is not even one year old, I can’t imagine the day when I walk home and he’s not there running to greet me or using the bathroom by myself (cat owners can relate to this one!).  He’s more than a pet… he’s my cuddle buddy, laptop warmer, feet snatcher, and most importantly, my little furry baby.  It’s pretty much established.  I’m half a cat hair away from being a bonafide crazy cat lady.

Thank you so much for reading!
