Pretty In Pilcro

Pretty In Pilcro
I'm so excited to share these darling Pilcro pants from Anthropologie with you today. I'm picky about my pants (it's tough to find the right fit sometimes), but I've been wearing Pilcro for years and have always loved the fit and variety of styles. This pair is no exception--SO comfy--and I love the little details in the ankle zippers and unique print. Also, I know I can transition these easily to spring when the weather warms up (if it ever does!), so that's an added bonus.

If you own a pair of Pilcros, be sure to enter Anthropologie's Instagram contest! All you have to do is share a photo of your favorite pair of Pilcros with the hashtags #PrettyInPilcro and #Anthropologie for the chance to win a new pair of your choice. Ten winners will be awarded and one grand prize winner will receive 3 Pilcro pants of their choice along with $500 in Anthropologie merchandise! Instagram photos will be popular on the 'Your #Anthropologie' style gallery on Anthropologie.com and alongside the product page of the style you’re photographed in.

The Instagram giveaway is open to US and Canada residents only and will end on Jan. 30, 2015. You can enter as many times as you want.

Good luck, and have a great weekend!

GLITTER BROGUES

GLITTER BROGUES
New Year, new shoes! When these shiny kicks went on sale, I was ecstatic! These are the perfect "glam me up" shoes for a boyfriend outfit because they still exude an androgynous vibe even with glitter.

Birthday Attire

Birthday Attire
It’s hard to believe today is my 26th birthday!  This year went by so fast and was filled with some incredible trips (Paris, Milan, Ibiza, Capri!), wonderful friendships, and exciting projects.  It was also filled with challenges (like any year), but each helped me grow mentally, emotionally, and professionally.  I’m excited to see what 2015 holds – and can’t wait to share a few things I’m working on next month!  I wore this outfit to dinner and drinks at Fig & Olive with my friend Talun last night. The crostini was to-die-for and so was their signature cocktail made with cucumber vodka, blood orange puree, and lime juice.  This little feather top is one of my favorite December purchases – it’s perfect for holiday parties and New Years Eve. It also looks great paired with a pencil skirt (loving this one and this one.)

2X CASHMERE

2X CASHMERE
Just because I have a strange attachment for cashmere in general, and this coat in particular, I feel like wearing it again and again. I bet you know the feeling! But here is something new in a striking color :) This green candy bag is kind of an unexpected element paired with this classic look. Well, is an interesting pairing and I’m loving it!Blogger : Bitter sweet colors

NAVY DOMINATION

NAVY DOMINATION
Winter days call for a cashmere coat and big chunky scarf and I chose all the pieces in a predominant navy- indigo palette. Cozy and comfortable is my first priority but always with a feminine element incorporated in every outfit. These boots are exactly that "it" element to complete the look ( in love with these these ones).

Hopefully these not so freezing days are here to stay for a while and the snowy storms predictions are just rumors.
In this special article, you will get your inspiration for sure. Its not that complicated to dress up for winter, but it takes time to pick a good outfit and accessories for it. Wearing trendy outfits in the winter time is as important as being comfy and cozy in them.

I would like to point out cashmere sweaters which will make a big impression and keep you warm at the same time.

Why I choose cashmere for Winter Date Night Outfits?

    For elegance
    Staying classy
    Being stylish

Wearing cashmere sweaters is a smart winter investment in outfits. I know what are you thinking, they are quite expensive, and also the moderated price cashmere costs a lot. I recommend caution when buying this type of clothes.

Choosing classy styles will keep you timeless when you wear the awesome outfit. Trends are changing all the time, so don’t opt for a trendy outfit, instead go for a classic style – this will never get old – you want a smart investment to outlast the season, so you will wear it for a couple of the upcoming years.

Important note: you must buy them from a real shop, not an online one because you need to feel the fabric and then make your decision.
How can I check the quality of cashmere?

    Feel it with your hand
    Check pilling and fuzziness
    Analyze the wrinkle-factor

Quality cashmere will not pill or wrinkle. It will bounce back from your touch.

I will repeat myself, don’t buy online cashmere clothes as you cannot touch them, instead go to your local shop or in a mall if you live in a big city and test out the quality of the fabric.

Go ahead and scroll down to check out winter date night outfits and get inspired by them. All of the below clothes are cashmere and worn by fashion bloggers which do this for a living. This will make you think: this fashion bloggers wear quality outfits.

If your asking yourself how can they afford cashmere and other stylish outfits, it’s simple. I will tell you how. They have outfit sponsors who provide clothes, accessories, necklaces, makeup, shoes and so on. All to promote the sponsors brand.

Don’t forget about:

    Layered clothes
    Accessories
    High heels or leather boots
    Sunglasses and necklaces
    Small or medium bags
Grey or black colors for your outfit

Wear what you like and what makes you feel comfortable. Go for it even if you dress up in 5 outfits before you go to the date. Be stylish and look sexy for your next date night.

Enjoy!

Relaxed Glam

Relaxed Glam
This is my go-to winter date night outfit.  It’s comfortable and warm, but still a little glam.  I hate tights so I rarely wear dresses or skirts in the winter.  I’m all about black skinny jeans (love these coated ones), heeled boots, a cashmere sweater and a great fur vest.  Both the jeans and sweater are from my new favorite site; The Dreslyn.  The Dreslyn has a great selection of items from the chicest brands (Equipment, Rag & Bone, Helmut Lang, and Iro to name a few.)  I’m currently coveting this plaid blouse and this little Sophie Hulme cross body.Blogger : With Love From Kat

Outfits for Winter

Outfits for Winter
In the cold days of winter, every student wishes to stay home and study home in the warmth and coziness of their own houses, but unfortunately they have to leave their tiny apartments to walk to school.

The most important thing is to be comfortable and to dress appropriately. Winter is about layering materials, textures and colors. Avoid wearing too much black and white every day. Another important thing when it comes to school is your “accessories”. A big bag/backpack/purse always comes in handy because I am sure you need to carry around many things such as: your study materials, laptop/tablet/iPad, your water bottle, food, makeup bag, wallet, diary or planner/Filofax and so on.

It is scientifically proven that people who are wearing colorful clothes are more likely to be in a happy mood than the one who wear a lot of black. Even if you are a girl who is always dressed in black, you could choose to buy a colorful accessory, such as your purse or your hat or scarf. If you want to raise your optimism, stay away from too much black and grey. You could combine these “colors” with bold colors such as red, burgundy, bright yellow, deep purple and so on.

For instance, if you are a medical student or if you are in law school, you should dress classy, elegant and casual. I know it is difficult to accomplish a polished look when it is winter and you need to layer clothes, but trust me, you can do magic if you pay attention to a few details. Let’s say you are in med school and you are attending a lecture, you need to look sharp, but not overdressed. Wear a white camisole and on top of it a simple white shirt with a nice black and white squared vest. Add on top a simple black blazer. For the lower part, wear a black pair of jeans or a pair of black office trousers. When it comes to the shoes, you should wear a pair of black leather boots that will keep your feet warm. For the accessories, you must wear a nice golden watch and a golden necklace. Your bag should be oversized and classy.

There are days when you don’t have too many lectures; you want to be dressed comfortable and casual. I know this is a controversy, but wearing uggs is the most comfortable thing on earth. Wear a pair of black leggings, silver glittery uggs and an oversized purple sweater (that covers up your private areas). You could carry a black and silver oversized purse.

Another comfortable outfit idea is to wear a pair of brown leather booties, a pair of burgundy leather trousers and large knitted baby doll dress. Choose a tan-color purse and you are good to go.

Your school/college/university outfits should be comfortable with an interesting and useful accessory. Don’t forget to wear a little pop of color that will bring a smile on your face.

Before leaving your house, make sure your skin is moisturized and you drink enough water to keep yourself hydrated. Don’t forget you lip balm!

Earth Tones :: Chunky sweater & Brown booties

Earth Tones :: Chunky sweater & Brown booties
Happy Weekend everyone!
During wintertime and especially at the beginning of the year, I love revisiting earth tones.  Maybe because earthy hues help connect me back with nature or perhaps they serve as a palette cleanser to welcome the new year.  Whatever it is, combinations of creams and browns are understated and peaceful yet striking.
Thank you so much for reading!

Less Is More

Less Is More

Sorry I've kind of been MIA in the online world. I just really needed a break and figured I'd start the year off right... taking it easy :) I hope everyone had a wonderful NYE! I personally already know how I'll be celebrating next year and I'm excited!

I have been wanting a white slouchy turtleneck for awhile as I feel like it is one of the best winter staples. I like the fit and it's comfy but I wish it was cashmere or something. I got it on sale at Nastygal though for half off ($39) so I can't really complain :)

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
xoxo

Cozy December Day

Cozy December Day

What’s better than a cozy cashmere scarf on a cold December day?!  I’m obsessed with this Nordstrom Collection scarf which also doubles as a shawl and travel blanket.  It would make a perfect Christmas gift for a mom or sister.  These Sam Edelman booties would also make a great gift – Nordstrom carries them in a ton of different colors and they’re super comfortable.  Note – I went down a 1/2 size.  If you need even more gift ideas head to my Pinterest page, Shop page, or Nordstrom’s gift section.  Have a great weekend!
